Seriously people, get off your high horse and quit whining! You're what's wrong with this world today. If you're looking for tiramisu recipes, you are being hypocritical complaining about the fat and sugar! This website scrubs others that's why you are seeing it on Cooking Light, it's also on Myrecipes.com. For you "I'm going to make it the real way" people, go ahead, use that Kahlua, cause it's so good for you and your kids. I like some others would like to see how a recipe tastes. Keep your pieholes shut...complainers!

I love to read actual REVIEWS by people who have prepared/tasted the recipe. I don't need a rant about fat/calories; I'm capable of reading about that stuff on my own, then deciding about trying the recipe. Planning on making this, then posting an actual review! :)

How can Cooking Light even offer this recipe with a straight face? Cooking Light is forgetting its reason for being -- to help those of us who need light recipes. Lately the disregard for providing great low calorie offerings is making me think about whether or not I will renew my subscription. A real disappointment!

Granted, Twinkies are junkfood, but they are convenient and appropriate for a casual potluck or what have you. I own over 5,000 cookbooks and cook everything from 'The French Laundry' to the back of boxes [recipes]. Tweak the recipe or don't bother with it if it is 'offensive' to you. But let's not be snobs here. Food is not just for health. It is Fun and it is Art.

I had no plans to make this but after reading all the silly reviews from people who HAD NOT made the recipe and then rant about how horrible this recipe was just spurred me to make this tonight so after work, I will gather up all the ingredients to make it. Plan on sharing with my coworkers too. STOP THE FOOD LECTURING PEOPLE and if you do not like a recipe, hit the delete button because I'm tired of reading useless rants from psuedo health nuts.

This looks too good not to try! Every once in a while I enjoy eating something with way too much fat and way too many calories. You only get to live this life once, and an occasional indulgence won't kill you. I agree with several of the others: if it looks too fattening or unhealthy to you, just don't make it! What compels some individuals to offer their opinions on what is good for others? I am fully capable of reading the nutrition values and making my own decision, as are most readers. MY opinion is that some people have WAY too much time on their hands! If they can't help telling others what to do about food intake, they should become nutritionists and preach to those who are willing to pay for someone else's advice.

Looks good to me. I agree with some of the others - If you don't like it or what's in it, then keep clicking until you find something you do like, then comment. I don't eat a lot of fatty calories either, but every now & then I will (without stressing about what will kill me). The "real" tiramisu probably costs a lot more - this may be more economical for somebody else - LET IT GO!!!!. This is not a place for the food police! Enjoy the recipes, and if you don't, let US enjoy them! Dang!

Seriously..you food Pharisees need to lighten up. "Real" Tirmasu is just as bad if not worse. It's listed as an "indulgence". Stop being the food police or acting like the government. If you don't like it, don't make it and don't comment on it for those who do like it. This is ideal for a potluck or special treat. And I bet if the Food Pharissees saw this at a party, they would be the first one to gobble it up and go for seconds.

I have not actually made this recipe but would like to. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO RANT ABOUT HOW FATTENING THE RECIPES ARE. PEOPLE CAN READ THE NUTRIONAL VALUES FOR THAT AND DECIDE FOR THEMSELVES WETHER OR NOT TO MAKE IT. You are supposed to make the recipe and rate how easy it was to make and how it tasted or how people raved over it when you served it. IF IT IS TO FATTENING FOR YOU THEN JUST DON'T MAKE IT !!! In moderation for special occasions these kinds of desserts are fine if you have a small serving the world will not end. COME ON PEOPLE LIGHTEN UP AND LIVE A LITTLE!!!!

This is a great easy recipe. I used milk chocolate because that is all I had. I also did not add sugar to the coffee. I made this for a houseboat outing and it was a hit. It got better as the days went on. I have a traditional tiramisu recipe (which is fabulous) and this was just as good although different. Will make again!

Haven't made & won't make. If I want to make tiramisu, I'll make it the RIGHT way. This is only a 'twinkie' laden fatty, dessert. NOT for us here. NOW, let's discuss real tiramisu...THEN we can forget about the cals & fat content. This imitation is nasty...sorry...whoever posted it.

This is a joke right? Twinkies have made it to my recipes as an edible nutritional food to feed ones family? My god.. No wonder more than half the countries children are obese..

My husband lovesssss' Tiramisu. But needing to watch the calories, I will make it with a low fat cake or cookie. Angle food cake, left out for a day to get hard,or even a low fat cookie. But never twinkies!! Too many low cal things to use instead.

Fantastic, easy recipe for unexpected company or a picnic potluck. No where in the recipe does it say you have to eat a full serving. Eat 1/2 or 1/3 of a serving. To good to not try.Next time I am going to skip the expresso and put in a layer of chocolate pudding

I LOVE recipes like this! I also agree with the other reviewers that everything is just fine in moderation. I cannot wait to make this - will be making it as written, espresso and all.

You can cut down on the counts slightly by using coffee in place of the sugar/water/espresso powder mix in step 1 and it tastes just delicious. On the other hand if you're going to have dessert, have dessert.

Gee whiz! I appreciate these kind of recipes being published! Not everyone is obese. I have lost over 130 lbs and I eat sweets whenever I want. This one to me is terrific with the exception of the expresso powder. I omitted it and it was great!!

Gosh - lighten up people - now and then people have dessert - even regular Tiramisu is not healthy - its nice on a birthday or a special gathering to partake in a dessert once in awhile - all things in moderation you know.

I tried this dessert at a dinner last night and it was absolutely delicious (FAT and ALL)! :) I look forward to making it and eating it in the future though the rating I gave it may decrease depending upon the level of difficulty of preparing it.

I haven't made this, nor would I. Per serving: 566 Cal., 35g Fat (19g Sat.) 107mg Chol., 65g Carb., 390 mg. Sodium And pity the poor soul who naively goes back for seconds. Twinkies are not the healthiest of desserts. In this land of obesity, it's a shame this dessert gets featured in your magazine.
